Helpful Guide on How to Efficiently and Safely Lose Weight Fast and Keep It Off!

Are you having trouble with weight loss? You are not alone; thousands of people are struggling to lose weight fast. Fad diets and starving yourself is not the key to losing weight. The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to make some serious (but simple) lifestyle changes.

Helpful Guide on How to Efficiently and Safely Lose Weight Fast and Keep It Off!

The following guide can aid you in your weight loss journey. It can help you lose weight fast and effectively, and most importantly, it will help you keep it off!

Only Eat When You Are Hungry

Before you eat ask yourself “Am I really hungry or am I just bored?” If you find yourself snacking constantly throughout the day, you might be bored. Go for a walk, read a book, do a quick workout or even better, drink a glass of water! Eating out of boredom only adds extra pounds and slows down your metabolism.

Avoid Sugary Snacks and Beverages

The main key to lose weight fast is to simply make smarter choices. You might think an energy drink or smoothie is a wise choice, but most smoothies and all energy drinks are contain high amounts of sugar. The same thing goes for that fancy latte from your favorite coffee shop. We’re not saying that you can’t ever treat yourself to your favorite beverage, but you shouldn’t be getting the bulk of your calories from beverages that are high in sugar, caffeine and calories. You would be surprised how many of your daily allowable caloric intake is consumed by beverages. Sadly, this includes alcoholic beverages, so you might want to cut back on that nightly glass or beer or wine. Replace any of these with a glass of ice water and watch how the weight falls right off!

Set Realistic Goals

It’s important that you set practical and rational weight loss goals. It is true that you will lose more weight in the beginning as you will be losing mainly water weight the first few weeks. You can realistically lose 2-6 lbs a week the first few weeks, but after that the average is 1-2 lbs per week. If you starve yourself or take fad diet supplements (which are not good for you), you will lose an unhealthy amount of weight too quickly and then you will gain it right back as soon as you start eating (or stop taking the supplement).

Also remember, that everyone is different, and you may lose weight at a different rate than one of your peers. Don’t let this discourage you. If you are doing everything in your power to lose weight in a healthy manner and aren’t seeing any results, you should seek medical help as there may be an underlying medical issue that is preventing you from losing weight such as a thyroid issues, hormonal imbalance or vitamin deficiency.

Watch What You Eat!

Now that you are trying to lose weight fast, you need to make smarter choices when it comes to your eating habits. Avoid eating when you’re bored, as stated above, and avoid eating for the last two hours before you go to sleep at night. Make sure you are getting the proper nutrients to aid your weight loss and keep you healthy. Include lots of fiber, protein and iron in your diet. Make sure that you are eating more fresh foods than processed foods that contain artificial flavorings, sugars and preservatives. Eat plenty of fresh fruits, berries and veggies (mainly dark green leafy vegetables such as kale and spinach) Eat only lean meats and seafood that is low in mercury. Add unsalted nuts, beans and healthy grains such as quinoa to your diet.

Avoid fast foods and greasy, fried foods at all costs. If you are going to splurge, make sure you only do so once a week and don’t go overboard. Ask for the smallest portion when you order out or dine out and pass on the alcohol, appetizers and desserts.

Don’t Be a Couch Potato!

Exercise is a must when you are trying to lose weight quickly. Sitting on your sofa all day watching tv and snacking is not the way to lose weight. Throw in a workout video, turn on the radio and dance around your living room, go for a brisk walk, jog or bike ride. Join a gym or fitness class such as Spinning, Yoga, Pilates or Zumba. Studies indicate that you need at least thirty minutes of cardio a day in order to lose weight effectively. Cardio burns calories, fat and boosts your metabolism.

And don’t dismiss weight training. Even if you lose a great deal of weight very quickly, you will just end up with flab and cellulite unless you add some weight training to tone your body and build muscle. Even adding three to five pound weights to your workout can help tone your arms and legs.

Additional Tips to Help You Lose Weight Fast

Keep a positive attitude and don’t get discouraged if you hit an occasional weight loss plateau. If you stop losing weight for a few days or weeks, don’t give up. Continue to do what you are doing and you should get back on track. Again, if you are following this advice and not losing weight for a long period of time you should see your primary care physician to discuss your weight loss goals.

Have faith in yourself and you will go far in your weight loss journey, If you want to track your progress, you can keep a personal weight loss diary or download a weight loss app or even buy a FitBit. If you need motivation, find a friend to join you on your journey. Also, there is nothing wrong in rewarding yourself once you hit a goal. Set small goals (5 or 10lbs) and once you hit your goal treat yourself to a new outfit or cute pair of shoes. Then set a major “end goal” like a tattoo or fun new hairstyle or even a vacation as a reward for hitting your final weight loss goal!

Also, remember that you are not dieting. You are trying to lose weight and keep it off! You are not dieting; you are simply making lifestyle changes. These simple changes can help you lose weight fast and maintain a healthy weight for the rest of your life. Remember these simple changes and you will not only lose weight and keep it off, but you will look and feel better as well!

Avocado and Coconut Oil Treatment

Both coconut oil and avocado are a great way to treat your hair for many reasons. First they add luster to dry, flaky hair. Secondly the combination products your hair from sun damage and lastly, it helps speed up the growth of your hair.

Heat the coconut oil for no more than 10 seconds (we recommend the stove or an essential oil warmer, do not use the microwave as this can compromise it’s chemical properties). Massage 1 tbsp into your scalp and hair. Next mash an avocado, minus the seed and skin to make a smooth paste. Then massage the mashed avocado to the tips only of your hair. Allow this to set for 15 minutes before rinsing completely with cold water and then shampoo/condition as you would normally.
